Organic. 60% Chenin Blanc, 40% Sauv Blanc. Rhyolite, purple schist, quartz and clay soils. 20 year old vines. Gently pressed, cold settled, then fermented and aged in stainless steel.
Organic. A blend of 50% Gamay, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. Volcanic mix of soils: rhyolite, quartz, purple schist, and clay. Vines age from 15-30+ years old. Fruit is picked, destemmed, then crushed and fermented with 8 days of pump-overs. Fermentation and ageing in temperature controlled stainless steel.
Organic. 70% Pinot Noir, 30% Gamay. A volcanic mix of soils: rhyolite, quartz, purple schist, and clay. Avg vine age of 15 years. Gently pressed, cold settled, then fermented at cool temp in stainless steel. Aged in stainless steel before bottling. Aged 5 months in tank before bottling. J. Mourat is located at the westernmost edge of the Loire Valley in the Fiefs Vendéens: a great value rosé from organically farmed vineyards in a cooler northern French climate.
